I’m going to tell you exactly what “Home Loan Modification” is and who qualifies for it. “Home Loan Modification” is also referred to as a “Loss Mitigation.”
It is the process of renegotiating one’s mortgage with their current lender. The definition of “loss mitigation” to the lender is to minimize their loss from a defaulting loan. Loss Mitigation is NOT based on credit or equity. It is solely based on the ability of the homeowner to afford some type of reasonable payment moving forward. A homeowner must exhibit one and / or a combination of the following qualities in order to be considered for loss mitigation by their lender. 1) Inability to afford their mortgage payment recently or currently. Most lenders will not consider the homeowner for loss mitigation unless they can show Hardship or they have an adjustable rate that is due to adjust within the next 12 months or has already adjusted in the last 12 months. The further behind the homeowner is, the higher the priority is with the lender. 2) A legitimate reason for falling behind on mortgage payments, known as HARDSHIP. We must be able to show that they have recovered or are recovering from the hardship or that the homeowner can afford to make a lower payment on a consistent basis. Legitimate HARDSHIP reasons include the following:
a) Increased expenses or decreased income. b) Rate or payment increase. c) Death in family, divorce, illness, incarceration and many other case by case situations. d) Lenders WILL NOT accept a HARDSHIP that the homeowner says they were tricked by a mortgage broker or any reason where the homeowner points the finger at the lender. I will follow up with more information.

Natural Remedies for Better SleepHi, I’m Cathy Wong, your guide to Alternative Medicine on About.com.Natural Sleep Remedies
Getting a good night’s sleep is just as important to our health as diet & exercise. Poor sleep can drain our energy, dampen our mood, and add to our stress. Over time, it can also increase the risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. So if you’re not sleeping as well as you could be, let’s look at some natural remedies that may help.
Lavender as Sleep a Remedy
The soothing aroma of English lavender flowers has long been used as a folk remedy to help people fall asleep.
Research is beginning to confirm lavender’s sedative properties. It’s been found to lengthen total sleep time and improve sleep quality. Lavender appears to work better for women, possibly because women tend to have a more acute sense of smell.
The good thing about lavender is that it begins to work quickly. Try adding 6 drops of lavender oil to a bath–the drop in body temp that occurs after a warm bath also helps with sleep. Or, put a couple of drops of lavender oil on a handkerchief and tuck it under your pillow.
And speaking of pillows, if hot flashes are keeping you up, many people find this cooling foam pillow insert, called a Chillow, helps to absorb excess body heat throughout the night.
Light Therapy as a Natural Sleep Remedy
If you have trouble falling asleep, you may need more light early in the morn. Light exposure plays a key role in telling the body when to go to sleep and when to wake up. So try taking a walk first thing in the morning. On the other hand, if you find you’re waking up too early in the morning, you may need more afternoon light. Try taking a walk in the late afternoon. Just be sure to use sunscreen to protect your skin from getting damaged by the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation as a Sleep Remedy
Progressive muscle relaxation is one of the most promising natural sleep remedies. Studies suggest it may shorten the time to fall asleep & help you get back to sleep if you’ve woken up during the night.
Best part is, it’s easy to learn. Here’s how to do it: Lie down. Start at your feet. Inhale deeply & sense the weight of your toes. Focus on any tension in them. Now exhale & let all the tension quickly leave your toes. Allow that relaxed feeling to push out any tension that’s left. Move on to your feet, calves, knees, thighs, abdomen, buttocks, chest, hands, upper arms, shoulders, neck, head, mouth, jaw, eyes, face & cheeks. Some people find it helpful to physically clench each set of muscles for 4 to 10 seconds as they inhale and then allow those muscles to go limp as they exhale.
Music as a Sleep Remedy
Soft, slow music is another remedy that can help to improve sleep without med. It’s been found to improve sleep quality, decrease nightly awakenings, lengthen sleep time and increase satisfaction with sleep.
Valerian as a Natural Sleep Remedy
Valerian is a herb that has been used as a natural sleep aid in Europe for decades. Unlike many other sleep meds, valerian is not believed to be addictive or to cause grogginess in the morn. But it doesn’t work for everyone. And although studies in labs have been encouraging, clinical trials are inconclusive. Valerian takes about 2 to 3 weeks to work. It shouldn’t be used for more than 3 months at a time. It’s typically taken 1 hour before bed. Although rare, valerian may cause headache, palpitations, and dizziness. It shouldn’t be taken with alcohol, many medications such as sedatives, before or after surgery or by people with liver disease.
Before You Use a Sleep Remedy
If you’re having trouble falling asleep, the first step is to consult your Doctor. Talk with him/her about any remedies before you try it.
Chronic insomnia can also be a symptoms of another condition, such as depression, heart disease, sleep apnea, lung disease, hot flashes, or diabetes, another reason why it’s important to be assessed.

I wonder if you’d like to enjoy feeling relaxed. Stress is a contributory factor to high blood pressure because strss constricts and restricts the muscles and blood vessels. This constriction and restriction of the blood vessels is what causes high blood pressure so anything which causes these to dilate or relax is beneficial. Relaxation is the key, when we feel relaxed and are actually relaxed the body responds with a lowering of the blood pressure.
Here are some alternative ways to help you relax and treat high blood pressure using herbs, aromatherapy and yoga.
Herbs
Herbs can reduce or even eliminate some of the negative effects that stress can cause. Some herbs are the best treatment for physical ailments, while others work better for psychological problems. Managing your emotions and mastering your reactions to stress will be the necessary steps you must take to “cure” stress, but meanwhile, herbs can definitely help.
Some herbs with known stress relief benefits.
Lemon Balm - (melissa officinalis)
This is a green leafy herb, similar in appearance to mint and almost as easy to grow. The herb is so-called because it’s leaves have a lemony scent. It is known for it’s calming and relaxing effects, and has a strengthening effect on the muscles.
It was introduced to Britain in 4th C by the Romans and is also good for digestion, abdominal cramps, stress and nerves. The essential oil is good as an insect repellent but, as with all essential oils, should never be taken internally.
Lemon balm leaves are wonderful in salads or used as marinade for chicken and fish.
This herb should not be used by pregnant women because it relaxes the cervical muscles.
Stinging Nettles
Stinging nettles have been useful in the treatment of arthritis and are full of vitamin C. They stimulate and cleanse the body and improve heart function.
Believe it or not, they actually make good tea. Pick the top fresh shoots from the plant and follow the instructions on the left to make herbal tea.
Hawthorne
Hawthorne relaxes muscles, stimulates heart metabolism and strengthens heart contractions. It also causes the blood vessels to dilate and improves blood supply to the heart. Hawthorne can be found in English hedgerows and was believed to have magical properties in pagan times. It is usually the berries that are used medicinally.
You should never take Hawthorne without the advice of your GP AND a herbalist. To find a herbalist look at the useful contact listing at the bottom of this article.
Other Useful Herbs
Fennel, black pepper, ginger, oregano, basil, tarragon and hyssop all contain compounds which can help to lower blood pressure. Fennel and ginger also make delicious herbal teas and combine well with lemon balm.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy oils are easy and safe alternatives if they are used correctly. They should never be taken internally or applied neat on the skin, except in the case of lavender and tea tree oil. You can either burn 5-8 drops in an oil burner or make your own massage oil by diluting 5-10 drops in 10ml of almond oil.
Choose oils that have relaxing and calming properties. Try rose, ylang ylang, marjoram, lavender, cypress, chamomille, clary sage and rosewood.
Yoga
Yoga can also help to reduce high blood pressure because it stretches, elongates and massages the blood vessels which improves circulation and encourages the blood vessels to remain soft. Stress can also increase blood pressure and yoga, with it’s relaxing principles can help combat that. It is worth noting that yoga is also a weight bearing exercises because some of the poses require you to hold up your own body weight. Weight bearing exercise can help to prevent osteoporosis, a disease which affects one third of women and two thirds of men over the age of 50.
Remember that all these are only a few from the natural ways to lower blood pressure. Many other useful information will be published in further articles regarding lowering blood pressure using a natural treatment.

We have just added several very important Information Portals to our portfolio. Each of these portals are especially designed to provide the most current information about the subject designated. They provide live news and video feeds - The Information is Never Ending and Always Changing.
Our portfolio now includes the following FREE Information Portals:
All over America and the world, people are integrating solar into their electricity and heating systems. Why?
Well, they get a big charge out of how much their solar electricity system save them on monthly bills. They are also taking advantage of government incentives.
They find that using solar power to heat water for their pools saves them lots of money that would otherwise evaporate!
They are using solar thermal power to heat water for their homes, watching their heating bills go down while their hot water temperature stays the same.
And these are just a few examples!
Any control over your own home energy is (no pun intended) empowering.
Renewable energy in all forms is good for the future of the earth.Due to some aggressive campaigning by governments and fossil fuel companies– and to people’s desire to live in denial– there remains a belief among some people that things “aren’t really so bad.” But:
The Asian brown cloud is caused largely by the burning of fossil fuels.
Smog and all its attendant woes (including increased in allergy diagnoses, breathing disorders, cancer rates, etc.) is caused by fossil fuels.
Global warming is intensified by green house gases.
All the solar power you use is free, after the initial purchase cost of your solar system. Ten years from now, the solar energy you are collecting at your own home will still be free, and meanwhile
A coffee group of alumni, all highly established in their
respective careers, got together for a visit with their old
university professor.
The conversation soon turned to complaints about the endless
stress of work and life in general…
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went into the kitchen
and soon returned with a large pot of coffee and an eclectic
assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal - some
plain, some expensive, some quite exquisite.
Quietly he told them to help themselves to some fresh coffee.
When each of his former students had a cup of coffee in hand,
the old professor quietly cleared his throat and began to
patiently address the small gathering… ”You may have noticed
that all of the nicer looking cups were taken up first, leaving
behind the plainer and cheaper ones. While it is only natural
for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is actually
the source of much of your stress-related problems! ”
He continued…”Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality
to the coffee. In fact, the cup merely disguises or dresses up
what we drink. What each of you really wanted was coffee, not a
cup, but you instinctively went for the best cups… Then you
began eyeing each other’s cups….”
”Now consider this: Life is coffee. Jobs, money, and position
in society are merely cups. They are just tools to shape and
contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not truly define
nor change the quality of the Life we live. Often, by
concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee that
was provided. The happiest people don’t have the best of
everything - they just make the best of everything they have…
So please remember: Live simply. Love generously. Care Deeply.
Speak Kindly. And the richest person is not the one who has
the most, but the one who needs the least.
Happy New Year 2008! May your cup overflow with good health,
immense happiness and great fortune!
This statement for 2008 was passed to me from a very good friend.
